- Francisco Goldman has won the Index on Censorship TR Fyvel Book Award for The Art of Political Murder: Who Killed the Bishop? Watch his heartfelt acceptance speech. (via Logophilia)
- The Bookstrust Translated Fiction site gets added to my sidebar, thanks to The Literary Saloon.
- Chad Post's account of his recent publisher conference in Argentina gives much-needed insight into how publishers get connected to unstranslated authors.
- Nigel Beale posted his fascinating interview with Irene Gammel last week. She addresses many thoughts I've always had about L.M. Montgomery and Anne, but have never found expressed. Her Looking for Anne: How Lucy Maud Montgomery Dreamed Up A Literary Classic has gone straight to my TBR list. Her website is pretty impressive as well.
- Also, Kate plans to discuss Gammel's book in the future and has created a group blog for Anne of Green Gables--the discussion is set to begin on 1 June.
