- The London Review of Books hosts a literary contest that asks entrants to list as many literary allusions as they can find in Adrian McKinty's thriller The Bloomsday Dead (to be published in June).
- Michelle of in the Lourve discovers George MacDonald's fairy tales.
- Ed is back to his old posting habits. He officially made my day. (And I must once again say how much I love the ever-fascinating Bat Segundo.)
- I'm watching John Berger's Ways of Seeing right now, which leaves me in debt to both Marks.
- I also enjoyed the fifth episode of Titlepage.tv in between classes this morning. So many great books to get to!
- Garrick Davis of the Contemporary Poetry Review has edited Praising It New: The Best of the New Criticism, the "first anthology of New Criticism to be printed in fifty years."
- Meanwhile, I'm nearing p. 950 of Against the Day (plan on finishing it during the three-day weekend) and am feeling positively nostalgic about leaving it behind. I can barely remember a time when I wasn't reading this book...
